Question: how many polygons is the spider made of? I'm guessing 2k to 3k tris? If so, it's very excessive, and could be a fraction of the count (just over 1k at most). The eyes and mandibles being fully modelled are also too much, they should be part of the texture itself.

1k texture maps are simply too high; I recommend mirroring the body and abdomen's UVs from the left side to the right side, and keeping the texture itself no larger than 256-by-256 pixels at the most.

i appreciate the constructive  criticism  ,  your points are valid indeed  , i consider the spider low poly to mid poly level , i tried to make sure the spider is as low as it can be with my judgment for the psx style i wanted to be , thank you for your replay . 

I'm happy to provide advice where I can, and you're welcome! It's easy to overshoot or undershoot the number of polygons for PSX models, as no two games are the same, and the number of polygons for a character may be more or less depending on the level they're in.
